October 20, 2024 Vladimir Putin had an informal meeting with President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the residence of the head of the Russian state near Moscow in Novo-Ogarev.

During the meeting, Vladimir Putin stressed that all agreements between the countries are being implemented and fully correspond to the level of strategic partnership.

The Russian leader also noted that trade and investment cooperation between the Russian Federation and the UAE is actively developing - in particular, trade turnover has tripled over the past three years.

The two leaders also discussed issues related to the difficult situation in the Middle East. The official program of the UAE President's visit will begin on October 21. Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will take part in the events of the BRICS summit in Kazan, which will be held on October 22-24, 2024.
